Stupid mental health garden meditation club
Mondays 12.45-3.15
Horfield Quaker Meeting House, Bristol BS7 8PD
We are a friendly non-denominational group of meditators who meet for a friendly session outdoors every week. If it’s really chucking it down, we use the small room in the building.
The only prerequisite to attend is owning a mind ![]()
The session

i promise the garden is less pixelated in real life
The group runs three practices – walking meditation, movement meditation, and sitting meditation for 10 minutes each, with a space before and after for tea and chatting.
Slow walking meditation
We walk around the garden in a slow mindful way, being aware of the breath and the sensation in the body.
Movement meditation
We do a simple set of movements from a fixed standing position which can be helpful for relaxation, flexibility, and provides a good stretch
Sitting meditation
We practice sitting in stillness and go through a few body scans and visualisations, which can be performed with open or closed eyes
♿ the venue has two steps up and one step down and has an accessible toilet. Please ask about any accessibility needs, we want everyone to be able to attend.
🚌 Right next to the bus stop, free on street parking, outside of CAZ
💲Suggested donation 3 pounds but nobody turned away for lack of funds
⛾ Refreshments available (tea, squash, water)
