Sensory modulation time, bitches.

Have you made the room nice in any stupid way, ie drawn/closed the stupid curtains, put on incense, put on stupid music/white noise?

Top tip: PARROT MODE

To calm a bird down, you put a blanket over their cage. If you are overstimulated, decrease sensory input

You’d leave the radio on for a lonely parrot. If you are understimulated, increase sensory input

 

Eating in the morning is essential to your circadian rhythm, known as the Rest and Digest cycle. If you want to rest well, eat well!

Have you eaten, or started the process for making some stupid food?

Food is the cure to most stupid mental health issues in the short term, AND you enjoy it.

If stupid kitchen is too overwhelming, you can play MUSICAL CHORES – put on a track and commit to cleaning for the duration of the track. Even 2.5 minutes can make a huge difference.

Are you dressed? Teeth brushed, suncream on?

Grooming yourself will center you, and is the foundation of leaving the house.

Lower your expectations with getting dressed, as long as its vaguely clean then thats ok!

Getting dressed will help you go outside, which is good for your something something stupid circadian rhythms.
